Gas' decision to relinquish a presence of retailing using their
showroom network.
Leeds Gas Showroom has taken over the same premises on Eastgate,
Leeds 2, (at the bottom of the Headrow near the Leeds city bus station).
This location has been a gas showroom for over 40 years and is well
known to the general public of Leeds as such. The shop staff and
managers are all ex-British Gas and between them have over 100 years
experience in the retailing of gas and associated products.
Their core business is the sale of gas and electric cooking and
heating appliances including fire surrounds. (Installation service
available.) In addition they have incorporated a strong display
of laundry and refrigeration with leading brand names such as Hotpoint
and Bosch.
